Amber with me

Six years ago today. On a Sunday, like today. It was one of the hottest days of the summer in Smithers, BC. We had friends and family travel from very far (everywhere is very far from Smithers, except Hazelton I guess). We wed under the sun in the yard behind her house. It was a day of joy.

Today. My wife still brings me joy. She is so giving and bright and beautiful. I'm in wonder of her and that she's mine and I'm hers. I'm definitely institutionalized. Here are some things we've done together since August 2000:
led a youth group in St Albert
led a mission trip to Guatemala
cycled across Canada
worked at a school in Montreal
drove across North America
hatched a little Blaise
traveled across North America with a newborn
moved to Guatemala
served the Poqomchí

Looking forward to the next ninety years.

Hi, I think you could scratch out the goal of swimming 12 laps under 12 minutes while you're in Montreal. Did you mean 50m laps or 25m?

Thanks for the well wishes. I am indeed blessed.

April, your last comment is out of left field, but I'll address it irregardless. I don't think I would be able to accomplish it in Montreal. I swam 4 times a week in college and couldn't do it then. I basically haven't swam since then (6 years), so I'm feeling out of shape. Mind you I'm up for trying. I mean 50 M laps, so 600 M in 12 minutes. I'm gasping for air just thinking about it.
